On April 16, CNOG released the Guide Book on Prevention and Control of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Second Edition), a revised version of the guide book issued on March 31.This is the second time that CNOG has issued an epidemic prevention and control guide book. Based on China’s latest requirements and CNOG’s actual situation, the new version provides enterprises under CNOG with more detailed guides for work and production resumption as well as the protection of employees’ safety and health.
The new edition of the guide book covers five parts on prevention and control measures in workplace, external and public service agencies, on construction contractors, at home, and for personal emergency response.
It is noted that the newly added guidance regarding construction contractors put forward specific opinions on prerequisites for work resumption, on-site prevention and control measures and closed-off construction management, which is very important for accelerated work resumption and better contractor management. Moreover, the new edition also specifically introduces basic knowledge on epidemic prevention and control, including tips for novel coronavirus prevention, and educates on airborne transmission routes, use of elevators, and accommodation management etc. so that employees could better understand the epidemic and effectively protect themselves.
